With homes available in the Glenwood neighborhood in Greensboro, and the Burns Hill and Southside neighborhoods in High Point, CHS promotes home ownership opportunities for low income families while helping to stabilize neighborhoods.  We are building NEW homes on vacant lots and rehabilitating existing homes in these three neighborhoods.  Home ownership helps families create real assets, as well as increasing the value of surrounding properties, “lifting up” the whole neighborhood.

Our expectations for quality are high – we are careful in our work to make sure that homes are well-built, meet high energy-efficiency standards, and have excellent systems and appliances – we want our homes to not only have an affordable purchase price, but also remain affordable after the new owners get the keys!

  • All plumbing, electrical, roofing, and floor systems are built or updated to building code
  • All work meets System Vision and Energy Star Program standards, lowering utility expenses
  • All work is performed by high quality professionals, including CHS Staff and verified, trustworthy subcontractors

Our homes are available to qualified home buyers with limited incomes. CHS is a member of NCHFA’s Community Partners Loan Pool Program, enabling us to provide additional financial options to the home buyer.
